Ian Bell sums up the dilemma pretty well in this article for the Herald. Times are hard and when it comes to the pinch do we consider our immediate needs or the future needs of the planet? Is Obama going to be leading the way for the world in utilising the current financial crisis to develop environmental strategies to help in both areas. New energy technology does create new jobs.

Carbon Kiss was set up to enable people to sponsor the planting of trees to offset their carbon emissions. having planted nearly a hundred trees or shrubs of our own it seemed the logical choice. we were concerned that this would be perceived as a scam like many sites could be, where established trees are attributed to sponsors. all our sponsored trees are new trees planted for the client.
